One thing learned: Camping and being a tourist require different mindsets.  Doing

Ann Arbor mural

I started my 49 Adventure by going to Ann Arbor with the hope of seeing David Zinn's chalk art.  I spent an afternoon walking around the city and visiting his frequented locations, but did not see any of his drawings.  However, I did find interesting murals throughout the city and in Graffiti Alley.

While in Ann Arbor, I managed to avoid Michigan stadium, but did walk to and throughout Zingerman's Delicatessen.  It's a quaint place, but they frequently have long wait time for sandwiches due to high demand, so it's best to order online before arriving. (90 minutes wait time when I arrived.)  I tried their canned trout, which was amazing, but far different from a Benno's Birdie chicken sandwich.

Sling workshop

By chance I found A2Aviary online, and signed up for a Intro to Sling workshop!    It was a lot of fun and I wish I could sign up for their class.  I'll have to see if my home town area has something similar.

I've enjoyed my week near Hell (I don't think the "town" is worth visiting unless your are in the area for other reasons.) in Michigan. It was a good beginning for my trip around the US and living like a turtle.  But, I am still adjusting and trying to find a balanced routine between camping, tourism, and weekly chores, and how to be more efficient in my car's organization.

Now on to liters of gasoline and a different currency in Canada!
